Jentoo Check: Student Privacy Notice

The short version

You type a first name and last initial and answer in your own words. Only your teacher sees your answers. An AI runs the conversation, and nothing you write is used to train AI. Everything is deleted on July 1 after the school year, or sooner if you ask.

1What We Collect

•The first name and last initial you type in. You don’t need an account, an email address, or a password.

•Your answers, and the conversation you have with Jentoo during the check.

•A rating of how well each answer shows the idea your teacher is checking, worked out from your own words.

•A cookie on your device that lets you continue your check if you leave and come back. It lasts 30 days and isn’t linked to any account.

2Why

Only to run your teacher’s check for your class and show your teacher what the class understands, so they know what to teach next. Jentoo doesn’t give grades. We never sell what you write, use it for advertising, or use it to build a profile of you.

3AI

You are talking with an AI, not a person. Your answers are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to run the conversation and rate the answers. Nothing you write in a check is ever used to train AI models.

If something you write suggests you might be in danger or thinking about hurting yourself, the check stops and shows you where to get help right away. That answer is not saved.

4Who Sees It

Only the teacher who made the check sees your name with your answers. Your classmates can’t see them. Jentoo staff look only when it’s needed to run or fix the service, and every time a teacher or staff member opens your answers, we record it.

5When It’s Deleted

Automatically on July 1 after the school year in which your teacher made the check — or sooner, if your teacher deletes the check.

You, a parent, or your teacher can ask us to delete your answers sooner: ask your teacher, or email support@jentoo.ai with your teacher’s name, your class, and the name you typed in.

6Age

Jentoo Check is for students aged 13 and older. Teachers confirm that their students are in grade 9 or above before they make a check.
