Terms of Service
Jentoo AI, Inc.
The basics — a plain summary, not a substitute for the terms below
Jentoo AI turns your questions into animated visual explanations, and is currently in beta. You must be 13 or older to use it (under 18 needs a parent or guardian's permission). You own your questions; we assign you our rights in what we generate for you. AI output can be wrong — check it before you rely on it. Be decent: no illegal, harmful, or abusive use. You can stop using the Services and close your account at any time.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Jentoo AI, Inc. (“Jentoo AI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of our website, mobile application, and related software (collectively, the “Services”).
Jentoo AI is a general-purpose visual AI tool: you type a question or prompt and receive a dynamic, animated visualization generated in response. The Services are useful to a wide range of users and are especially popular with students, but are not limited to educational use. Some features are available without creating an account. Whether or not you create an account, by accessing or using the Services you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
The Services are intended for a general audience aged 13 and older. If you are under the age of 18, you may use the Services only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian. We are not directed to children under 13 and do not knowingly allow children under 13 to use the Services, as described in Section 1.
1Eligibility
1.1 Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 13 years old and, if you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction (generally 18), that you have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to use the Services and agree to these Terms.
1.2 We Do Not Knowingly Serve Children Under 13
The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from, or permit use of the Services by, anyone under 13. Our age requirement is enforced through a neutral, self-reported year of birth entered at sign-up; we rely on the information you provide.
If we learn that a user is under 13, we will take reasonable steps to close the account and delete the associated personal information as required by applicable law. If you believe a child under 13 is using the Services, please contact us at the email address in Section 26 so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
1.3 Guest / No-Account Use
Parts of the Services may be viewed without creating an account (“Guest Use”) — for example, the public pages and any demonstration content we choose to show. Asking a question requires an account. If you access or use the Services as a guest, you are still bound by these Terms in full, including the age requirement in Section 1.1, even though we do not collect a birth year or other account information from you. Continuing to use the Services after being presented with a link to, or notice of, these Terms constitutes your agreement to them.
Because we do not collect account or age information from guests, we generally have no means of knowing a guest user’s age. If, however, it becomes unambiguous from a specific guest interaction that the user is a child under 13 — for example, because the Input itself discloses this — we will limit our use of that specific interaction to providing the immediate response, will not use it to train models, and will not retain it longer than necessary to operate the Services.
We may still collect limited technical information from guest use, such as IP address, device information, and cookies, as described in our Privacy Policy, and may use this information to enforce rate limits, maintain security, and improve the Services.
1.4 General Eligibility
You must have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms and must not be barred from using the Services under applicable law, including export control and sanctions laws described in Section 22.
2The Services
Jentoo AI provides AI-powered software that converts questions or prompts you submit (“Input”) into dynamic, animated visualizations and accompanying responses (“Output”). The Services are designed for general use and are not limited to any single audience, subject, or purpose.
We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee that the Services will be available at all times or that Output will be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.
3Third-Party AI Providers
Jentoo AI generates Output using a combination of our own software and third-party artificial intelligence models and infrastructure, which may include providers such as Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), xAI (Grok), OpenAI, and Together.ai, among others. We may change which providers we use at any time.
When you submit Input, it may be transmitted to one or more of these third-party providers for processing. Each provider processes data under its own usage policies, and we select and configure these providers with the goal of complying with their requirements.
We do not control, and are not responsible for, the underlying AI models themselves, including any inaccuracies, biases, or limitations inherent to a given provider’s model.
4Accounts and Registration
You may need to register for an account to use some or all of the Services. You agree to provide accurate information, including an accurate year of birth, and to keep it up to date and your login credentials confidential.
Account authentication is provided by our identity vendor, Clerk. We do not store your password; Clerk stores it in hashed form on our behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe pose risk to the Services or other users.
5Free Use, Subscriptions, and Payment
5.1 Free and Paid Tiers
Jentoo AI offers a free tier of the Services and may offer optional paid subscription tiers with additional features (“Premium Features”).
As of the date above, asking a question requires an account. A new account receives a fixed number of questions, which do not expire and are not replenished on a schedule; further questions are earned through the Referral Program described in Section 6, and questions earned that way are likewise permanent. Guest use without an account does not include asking questions. These allowances are set by us, are stated in the product, and may change at any time; we will not reduce an allowance you have already earned without notice.
We may change which features are free or paid at any time, with notice for existing paid subscribers as described below.
5.2 Billing and Renewal
Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled before that cycle ends. By subscribing, you authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis.
5.3 Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to Premium Features until then. No refunds are issued for partial months. To cancel, visit your account settings or contact support@jentoo.ai.
Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
5.4 Price Changes
We may change subscription pricing from time to time. For existing subscribers, any price change will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle following reasonable notice. We use third-party payment processors and do not store full payment card numbers ourselves.
6Referral Program
We may offer a referral program that lets you share a personal link, or send an invitation by email, and earn additional free questions when people you refer join and use the Services. Participation is optional and the program is offered at our discretion. We send an invitation email only when you ask us to, only to an address you enter, and every such email carries a one-click way for the recipient to stop receiving them.
6.1 How Credit Is Earned
A referral counts only when the person you referred creates an account using your link, verifies their email address, and asks at least one question. Creating accounts that never use the Services earns nothing. Each credited referral adds a fixed number of questions to your account permanently — they do not expire, and there is no limit on how many referrals you may earn from. At a threshold stated in the product, credited referrals also unlock a recurring daily allowance in addition to the questions you have banked. The current numbers are shown in the product.
6.2 What Is Not Allowed
You may not refer yourself, create accounts on behalf of other people, use automated means to generate sign-ups, or acquire referrals through spam, misrepresentation, or paid incentives. A person may only ever be referred once, and a referral code may not be transferred or sold.
We may withhold or revoke referral credit, and suspend or close accounts, where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken. Referral credit has no cash value, is not property, cannot be exchanged for money, and expires if your account is closed.
6.3 Changes to the Program
We may change or end the referral program at any time. If we end it, questions you have already earned remain on your account.
7Your Input and Output
7.1 Ownership
As between you and Jentoo AI, you retain ownership of your Input. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we assign to you all of our right, title, and interest, if any, in the Output, to the extent ownership of AI-generated content is recognized under applicable law.
7.2 License You Grant Us
You grant Jentoo AI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and use your Input and Output to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Services, including to debug issues and to train and improve our underlying models and those of our third-party AI providers where permitted by their terms. You may opt out of the use of your Input and Output for model training through your account settings, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your Input or Output. This license allows us to use your Input and Output, including for model training and service improvement, as described in this section and in our Privacy Policy.
7.3 Output May Not Be Unique
Because the Services use AI models that respond to patterns in Input, different users submitting similar prompts may receive similar or identical Output. Your rights in your Output do not extend to Output independently generated for other users, and we are not liable for such similarity.
7.4 Aggregated and Anonymized Data
We may use aggregated or de-identified data derived from use of the Services to analyze and improve the Services, in addition to the training uses described in Section 7.2.
8Sharing and Public Contributions
Jentoo AI may, now or in the future, offer features that let you save, share, publish, or make visible to other users content you create using the Services (“Contributions”). This section applies if and when such features are enabled for your account.
8.1 License to Contributions
By posting a Contribution, you grant Jentoo AI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that Contribution in connection with operating, promoting, and improving the Services. You retain ownership of your Contributions. This license is narrower than a full commercial-use license — we do not acquire the right to sell your Contributions or use your name, image, or voice in third-party advertising without your separate consent.
8.2 Your Responsibilities
You represent that you have the rights necessary to post your Contributions and that they do not infringe any third party’s rights or violate these Terms, including the Acceptable Use restrictions in Section 9.
8.3 Moderation
We may review, remove, or restrict any Contribution at our discretion, without notice, particularly where we believe it is harmful, infringing, or violates these Terms. We may suspend or terminate the account of a user who repeatedly posts violating content.
9Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use the Services to violate any law, regulation, or third party’s rights;
Submit Input or use the Services to generate content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that depicts or facilitates harm to others, including minors;
Use the Services for harm, abuse, harassment, bullying, or impersonation of another person;
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying models, source code, or system prompts used by the Services;
Use automated means — bots, scrapers, or similar tools — to access or extract data from the Services without our written permission;
Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to circumvent the security, rate limits, or usage allowances of the Services, including by cycling accounts or addresses to obtain additional free questions;
Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Services without our written permission;
Misrepresent your identity or age, or create an account on behalf of someone else without authorization;
Use Output to develop, train, or benchmark a competing AI model or service;
Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
We may investigate and take appropriate action, including suspending or terminating accounts, for any violation of this section. Your use of the Services must also comply with the usage policies of the third-party AI providers described in Section 3, which may be updated by those providers from time to time.
10AI-Generated Output
Output generated by the Services is produced using probabilistic AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or misleading, and may not reflect real people, places, or facts. You are responsible for evaluating Output before relying on it, citing it, or sharing it, and you agree not to rely on Output as your sole source of truth or as a substitute for professional advice.
Many of our users are students, and Jentoo AI visualizations work well as a study aid — but the Services are general-purpose, and Output should not be treated as verified instructional material or a substitute for a teacher, textbook, or other authoritative source, regardless of how it is used.
The Services are not intended for use in, and you agree not to rely on Output for, high-risk decisions, including:
Medical diagnosis or treatment;
Legal advice;
Financial or trading decisions; or
Any safety-critical system or application.
We may apply a label or disclosure to Output indicating that it was generated by artificial intelligence, and you agree that such disclosures may be applied.
11Feedback
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Services (“Feedback”), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use that Feedback for any purpose related to operating or improving the Services, without any obligation or compensation to you.
12Our Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in the Services — including our software, visualization engine, designs, and branding (collectively, the “Content and Marks”) — belong to Jentoo AI or its licensors. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your personal or internal use, whether educational, professional, or otherwise.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Services, reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code or model weights from the Services, or use our trademarks without our prior written permission.
13Third-Party Websites and Links
Separate from the AI providers described in Section 3, the Services may link to or integrate other third-party tools or content. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party websites or services, and your use of them is subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
14Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information, including our use of third-party AI providers and training practices, is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it before using the Services.
15Copyright Infringement (DMCA) Notices
We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect users of the Services to do the same. If you believe content available through the Services infringes your copyright, you may send a notice to our designated copyright agent containing:
A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it on the Services;
Your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email address;
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Notices should be sent to our copyright agent at the contact information in Section 26. We may remove or disable access to material identified in a valid notice and will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users determined to be repeat infringers.
16Term and Termination
These Terms remain in effect while you use the Services. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if required by law, if we determine you do not meet the age requirement in Section 1, or if your use creates risk or harm to the Services or others.
You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time.
17Beta, Modifications, and Interruptions
The Services are currently offered as a BETA release. This means features may change or be removed, Output quality varies, and interruptions and defects should be expected. The Services and all beta features are provided “as is.”
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Services, or for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime.
18Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
19Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JENTOO AI WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) $100, or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages or warranties, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you, and you may have additional rights under applicable law.
20Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Jentoo AI harmless from third-party claims, losses, and reasonable expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of your Input, your Output, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law or a third party’s rights.
21Dispute Resolution
21.1 Informal Resolution
Before filing a claim, you and Jentoo AI agree to first try to resolve any dispute informally by contacting the other party in writing, and to negotiate in good faith for at least 30 days.
21.2 Binding Arbitration
If a dispute is not resolved informally, it will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, conducted in Nashville, Tennessee, rather than in court, except as provided below. YOU AND JENTOO AI EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION.
21.3 Right to Opt Out
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing us at the address in Section 26 within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms, stating that you decline to be bound by Section 21.2. If you opt out, disputes will instead be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Nashville, Tennessee.
21.4 Exceptions
Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court, and either party may seek injunctive relief in court for claims involving intellectual property, unauthorized access, or misuse of the Services.
22Export Control and Trade Compliance
The Services, including the underlying AI technology, may be subject to U.S. export control and economic sanctions laws. You represent that you are not located in, and are not a resident or national of, any country subject to a U.S. government embargo, and that you are not listed on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You agree not to use the Services in violation of any applicable export control or sanctions law.
23Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise. The venue provisions in Section 21 apply to where a dispute is heard.
24Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last Updated” date above, and material changes will be communicated through the Services or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
25Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Jentoo AI regarding the Services.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Neither party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including outages of a third-party AI provider described in Section 3.
Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship between you and Jentoo AI.
