The short version

Every cookie we set is needed, and all of them are set by us: one keeps you signed in, a few short-lived ones carry a sign-in safely through Google, Apple or the Claude app, one remembers a referral link you followed, one counts the free questions a guest has left, one lets a student continue a Jentoo Check, and one stops a browser signing up again after our age question refused it. No analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, no third-party cookie at all — which is why you were never shown a consent banner. Checkout happens on Stripe’s own site. Usage analytics are kept against your account instead, and you can switch them off in Settings ▸ Privacy & data.

This Cookie Policy explains how Jentoo AI, Inc. (“Jentoo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use our website and related software (the “Services”). This Policy supplements our Privacy Policy.

1What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how you use it. Similar technologies include web beacons, pixels, and local storage.

2The Cookies We Use

We use cookies for the following purposes. The table below lists every cookie Jentoo itself sets.

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These are essential for the Services to function. They include session cookies that keep you logged in and security cookies that help detect fraud and protect your account. You cannot opt out of these cookies because the Services would not work without them.

2.2 Functional Cookies

These remember your preferences and settings (such as a referral link you arrived through, or your display options) to provide a more personalized experience. Disabling these may reduce functionality.

2.3 Analytics Cookies

We set none. Jentoo stores no analytics or advertising cookie of any kind, first-party or third-party, and the table below is the complete list of what we do set.

We do keep usage analytics — which subject a question falls under, phone or computer, how long a visit lasts — but they are recorded against your account on our own servers, not in a cookie on your device, and you can switch them off in Settings ▸ Privacy & data. Switching them off stops the recording and erases what was already collected.

3Third-Party Cookies

As of 17 August 2026, no third party sets a cookie on the Services. The session cookie that keeps you signed in is set by us and is listed in the table below; it replaced the two cookies our former authentication vendor used to set.

We do not use a third-party analytics provider. Checkout happens on Stripe’s site, where Stripe’s cookie policy applies; Stripe sets no cookie on jentoo.ai. Signing in with Google or Apple sends you to Google’s or Apple’s own site, where their cookie policies apply, but neither sets a cookie on jentoo.ai. If any of this changes we will update this Policy and the table below before those cookies are set.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies and do not serve ads on the Services.

4Your Choices

We do not show a cookie consent banner, because we have nothing optional to ask you about. Every cookie in the table below is needed to sign you in, keep your account secure, credit the referral link you chose to follow, let a student continue a Jentoo Check, or apply our minimum age. There is no analytics cookie and no advertising cookie to turn off.

The choice that does exist is the usage-analytics switch in Settings ▸ Privacy & data. It is a real switch: turning it off stops the collection and erases what has already been recorded.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies, or to be notified before a cookie is set. Note that blocking certain cookies may affect your ability to use some features of the Services (for example, staying logged in).

Where required by law (for example, for users in the EU or UK), we will request your consent before setting any non-essential cookie. If we ever add one, we will ask before it is set and update this Policy and the table first.

5Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or our Privacy Policy.

That is the whole list. There is no consent banner because there is nothing optional to consent to — no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, no third-party tracker. If that ever changes, we will ask you first and this table will say so before the cookie is set.
